Tetsuro Shimaguchi nato nel 1970 nella prefettura di Saitama in Giappone, si è laureato alla Nihon University College of Arts. Dopo una lunga esperienza in attività teatrali come il kabuki, ha fondato “Kengishu KAMUI” e testa a testa una squadra.
È un “ARTISTA SAMURAI” che unisce nella sua arte la bellezza della forma, la recitazione e le arti marziali.
Uno dei suoi successi come attore è l’interpretazione di “MIKI” di Crazy 88, in “KILL BILL Vol. 1”, film di Quentin Tarantino, di cui ha coreografato i combattinamenti di spada. Con la sua compagnia d’artisti samurai, che ha fondato, i KAMUI, ha realizzato tour negli Stati Uniti, con una performance al John F. Kennedy Center di Washington, DC, “CHANBARA”, “SAMURAI SPIRIT”, inoltra la sua compagnia si è esibita in spettacoli a Edimburgo, nel teatro della Pergola di Firenze, a Palazzo Vecchio e al Museo dell’Ermitage in Russia.
Ha anche coreografato spettacoli in Meijiza, “CLAUDIA”, “HUMANITY” e “HOSHINO DAICHI NI FURU NAMIDA”, interpretato da Chikyu Gorgeous, e “JIROCHO-SANGOKUSHI”, un film di Masahiko Makino.
Diverse reti televisive negli Stati Uniti e in Europa hanno realizzato inteviste con Tetsuro Shimaguchi per divulgare il suo impegno nella promozione della cultura samurai.
Testuro Shimaguchi è riconosciuto come maestro della danza classica giapponese Nanaougi-ryu, ed eccelle in Shinkageryu-Kenjutsu e Karate. Nel 2012, ha creato il samurai dojo originale, “KENGIDO”.

Among other achievements: he led the KAMUI Tour in the US including a performance in the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, “CHANBARA”, “SAMURAI SPIRIT” performances in Edinburgh, Europe tours in places such as Teatre della Pergola in Italy, Hermitage Museum in Russia, plentiful dinner shows in Hyatt Hotels and Sheraton Hotels, Armani Hotel in Dubai and performed main roles in short movies.
